About SPMN

The Scottish Posture and Mobility Network (SPMN) is a development from the former Scottish Seating and Wheelchair Group (SSWG). SPMN is a multi-disciplinary network to share experience, knowledge and information on developments in postural care, mobility and related matters.

Members include physiotherapists, occupational therapists, doctors, engineers, nurses and administration staff working for NHS rehabilitation services, Social Work Departments and charities, representatives of companies selling posture and mobility equipment, researchers and academics working on developments of the technology, and, of course the users of posture and mobility services and their carers.

SPMN aims to organise two seminars every year; run working groups to survey current practice associated with posture and moblity, and disseminate information to improve postural care and mobility services in Scotland. Networking is our objective! Our seminars are an opportunity to meet fellow practitioners from around Scotland, to see current equipment and to hear about topics relevant to the network. We look forward to meeting you!
