Wheelchair Review Consultation Events
The Scottish Government is keen to hear the views of people who use wheelchairs, their carers, providers of health and social care services and other stakeholders about the Draft Action Plan. There are four consultation events taking place across Scotland through the month of October which people are invited to attend.

Buyer's Guide to Night-time Postural Management Equipment for Children
The Centre for Evidence-based Purchasing (CEP) is part of the Policy and Innovation Directorate of NHS PASA. It has recently published a buyer's guide to night-time postural management for children. The report includes discussion on technical, operational and economic considerations, as well as a review of equipment currently on the market.

WSS Newsletter Issue 2
Following the independent review of NHS wheelchair and seating services the Wheelchair and Seating Services (WSS) Project Board was established, to provide leadership and support during the modernisation process.
The Wheelchair and Seating Services (WSS) Project Board has been running since mid 2007 and periodically issues newsletters to report on its progress. Issue 2 (April 2008) is now available and can be accessed by clicking below.

SPMN Postural Management Questionnaire
The postural management subgroup of SPMN currently has a team concentrating on professional awareness and training in postural management. The team has put together a brief questionnaire looking at the training needs of professionals working in the postural management field and the type of training that is currently available. We would greatly value your participation. The questionaire can be accessed by clicking below and can either be posted or emailed back to the team for compilation. SPMN Annual Meeting: "Innovation in Clinical Practice"
SPMN's annual one-day meeting, this time held in Dundee on the 28th November, focused on the general theme of innovation in the delivery of posture and mobility techniques, technolgies and services for diverse clinical conditions. The event included a broad range of presentations, Q & A sessions and an exhibition.

Moving Forward: Review of NHS Wheelchair and Seating Services in Scotland
The independent Review of NHS Wheelchair and Seating Services was completed in March 2006 and made 40 recommendations to Scottish Ministers for improvements to the service. A Project Board has been established to oversee the review of the recommendations and the delivery, within a year, of a costed, evidence-based Action Plan for the implementation of the recommendations that best meet the needs of service users and carers for consideration by Ministers.
