Subgroups

The Scottish Seating and Wheelchairs Group convened various subgroups over the years to progress various matters within the field of Seating and Wheelchairs. Most of these have been superseded by other groups, bringing their work within the official framework of the NHS service, rather than that of an ‘independent’ organisation. This is exactly as it should be, and the remaining subgroup, which has now been taken within the Scottish Posture and Mobility Network’s umbrella, is the Postural Management subgroup.

The committee fully expects that other subgroups on various aspects of posture and mobility will be convened in the future, and that these will be fully supported by the committee. The postural management subgroup sprang from discussion amongst interested parties at a seminar on the subject, and it is probable that future seminars will have a similar result in other areas. The concerns and views of the membership will be key to this.
